SNOW

It is poring snow here, and it is absolutely beautiful. I love snow because, like lorelei gilmore, I believe it brings miracles. If anything it just cheers me up, on my worst days. As it poured snow I ventured out to town for some errands. I mailed a package to my wonderful friend, stopped by the library to rent some movies, went to tractor supply and ran to a hot country boy, and then grabbed some essentials from save-a-lot. I just love snow, call me crazy, but it is just so perfect. I feel like when it snows and there's good music on, nothing can top it. It's like a little present from God, and I try to enjoy it thoroughly.
Well, now I'm going to head in and finish cleaning my room and then watch HP.

What's your favorite type of weather?

So, I will just say that these past few weeks have been crazy.
I however, have landed an interview at a local nursing home and I am super psyched about it. It's for a payroll specialist and it just sounds awesome. I mean, it isn't a bakery, but it's got potential.
Not much is going on except for the unpacking, organizing, reading, and movie watching I've been up to. The FCL has helped me in my goal for my mom to watch all the harry potter movies- we are currently on the chamber of secrets, and she loves them- score!
The dogs have settled in here, for the most part, and my bruises are finally starting to heal after the move. Poor GJ has a severe sprain on her right ankle and she is not one for resting, so I'm praying she heals fast. The babies love going for walks every day, and they finally understand the routine of go potty, watch gilmore girls, and fall asleep with mommy. They however, have not grasped the "don't wake mommy before eight thirty" rule.
Thant's pretty much all that's going on here. Lizzie and Luc say hi.

Well, the move has been good.
My grandmother makes fantastic lunches (especially her coleslaw). They go to their bedroom around 6:30, so I pretty much have the house to myself for primetime. I have an extremely comfy bed and Charlie made a new friend, Oscar. He lived in my room before I arrived and he is a very soft and sweet lamb.
I still haven't found a job, yet, but I have been looking, and I really really want to get a position in the daycares and bakeries I applied to. Hopefully, this snow storm will pass and I can head out tomorrow for more resumes and applications.
We traditionally watch Dr. Oz every afternoon. And it is fun to take Abby and JoJo out for a walk and watch them race back to the house.
I haven't quite gotten to the point where I feel comfortable enough to bake yet, but we'll see how long I will hold out.

A New Life

Yesterday, I moved in with my wonderful grandparents in Tennessee.

The trip:
My brother and I packed up the car and pulled out of the driveway at five yesterday morning. I attempted to sleep, but woke up in Dallas. As none of you know, one of my favorite places in Texas is driving across the bridge over the Corder Lake in Rockwall., and at the time we drove across it the sun was rising. It was such a beautiful sight to see before I left the great state. We didn't stop until Jackson, Tennessee. So needless to say I was most indefinitely stir crazy. Luckily, I had the great read of "Julie&Julia" which is great, but a little sketchy at parts. We had fun driving and rocking out to great tunes like "funkytown", "big poppa", and "i can transform ya". I got a free lunchbag at Subway so I can take my lunchie to work. Then we drove over the gorgeous Missippi River Memphis bridge and entered the "Music Highway" straight for Nashville, where I watched the sunset. Then, I left my brother at the hotel and headed south for my grandparents house.

The Arrival:
A good fifteen minutes from home I changed from some Justin Bieber to Justin Moore's "Smalltown USA". As I got closer and closer to home the wave of the emotion of home hit me and I felt so safe, relaxed, and excited. I was greeted by a gorgeous home that I already knew my way around since my grandmother and I are kindred spirits. Oh, and for dinner I had homemade veggie soup. Then, I watched a One Tree Hill/Gilmore Girls marathon, and fell asleep.

The Day:
I woke up to a cup of hot cocoa followed by waffles and eggs. After freshening up, Pa Les and I headed out in the Ranger for some job hunting. However, we had no luck as of yet. We just finished lunch and I'm finishing some online applications before I watch some movies.

The bad news:
The stars here are not big and bright.

The good news:
I live in smalltown USA!

So, tell me something new in your life!
